Lichenomphalia umbellifera, near Deception Pass, WA, USA
(formerly Omphalina umbellifera and Phytoconis umbellifera)
A basidiolichen, with “mushrooms” as fruitbodies, the green grainy area on the wood is the thallus, consisting of masses of the green algae Coccomyxa, each mass surrounded by hyphae of the fungal partner.
